This is the last video from this year’s Civil War Institute at Gettysburg. In it Scott Hartwig takes viewers on a tour of the Antietam Battlefield. There are a few technical glitches You need to stick with the video even when it seems to end!
Peter Carmichael, Ashley Whitehead Luskey, and Gettysburg College students Cameron Sauers and Benjamin Roy accompany Scott Hartwig on his tour. Hartwig was Supervisory Ranger at Gettysburg. He is the author of To Antietam Creek: The Maryland Campaign of September 1862 which I read and enjoyed when it came out nine years ago. The second volume of this history of the Antietam Campaign is in its final stages before being submitted to its publisher.
