Next up from the Civil War Institute last week at Gettysburg College is a battlefield tour by Professor Jennifer Murray focused on Barksdale’s Mississippi Brigade’s assault on the Union lines on July 2, 1863 at Gettysburg. Murray is both a university professor and a someone who during her previous career with the National Park Service gave tours at Gettysburg. Murray is working on a biography of Gettysburg commander George Gordon Meade.
