Civil War Talk Radio Interviews Michael J. Megelsh on Adelbert Ames

Civil War Talk Radio had an interesting interview recently with Michael Megelish on his new book on Union General Adelbert Ames. Ames was the son-in-law of General Ben Butler and like his wife’s father he looked at the Civil War as more than a military action. After the war he became the governor and senator from Mississippi. Ames improved the conditions for Blacks in his state, but he was overthrown by white supremacists.
