Chris Mackowski, host of the Emerging Civil War podcast, interviews the grandaddy of all Civil War podcasters Gerry Prokopowicz. Professor Prokopowicz has been podcasting Civil War Talk Radio for nearly a quarter-of-a-century and he has been listened to by hundreds of thousands of students of the Civil War. On this episode, Chris goes into Gerry’s devotion to getting history out to the public, how he became the host of Civil War Talk Radio when the program was only a month old, and very recent developments after Gerry decided to end his relationship with the company that had hosted his program since its inception.
