Kevin Levin, author of Searching For Black Confederates and Remembering the Battle of the Crater: War as Murder, speaks about Robert Gould Shaw before his heroic service at the head of one of the first Black regiments in the Union Army. Levin gave this lecture on June 10 at Gettysburg College, it is has some real surprises.
