The new one-hour PBS documentary Becoming Frederick Douglass is now available to watch for free online. I don’t how long PBS will allow free viewing of the film, but they are right now!
I watched this when it premiered and really liked it. It covers Douglass’s life up to the end of the Reconstruction Era and goes through his experience as a slave, his escape to the North, his emergence as an Abolitionist, and his work during the Civil War. Well worth watching. You can read my review here.
