National Park Ranger Chris Barr is very well-respected among Civil War and Reconstruction Era students. Last month Reconstruction Era National Park began releasing short videos by Barr on the history of Reconstruction in Beaufort, South Carolina where the new park is headquartered. The first video looks at the timeframe for Reconstruction in the Carolina islands where Beaufort is located.
