Video Talk on Politics and Elections in the Union Army of the Potomac

I recently watched this video from the Winter Lecture Series of 2022 delivered at Gettysburg National Military Park. It looks at political agitation and campaigning during the Civil War in the Union Army of the Potomac. It also discusses voting in the 1864 elections. Here is the description from the National Park Service:

Dr. Zachary Fry explores key moments in which the Union Army argued wartime politics under the public gaze, threatened home front dissent, and mobilized for political campaigning—all while fighting on the front lines of the nation’s most devastating war.

Dr. Fry is assistant professor of military history at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
