“Bullhorn Lady” of Capitol Assault and Gettysburg Occupation Also Had Zip Ties

Rachel Powell, the “Bullhorn Lady” arrested by the FBI for her role in the assault on the Capitol, was also part of the “militia” occupation of Gettysburg last July 4. The FBI found that Powell had zip ties in her “go bag” in her car.

From the Pittsburgh Post Gazette:

A search of her car turned up a “go bag” that contained a tarp, zip ties and two loaded magazines for an AK-47, but no weapons were found, Agent Fontanez said.

During an earlier search of Ms. Powell’s house, agents found two other “go bags,” one containing ammunition, rope and duct tape and a second one with Ninja throwing stars, knives and lighters.

The FBI also found paper shooting targets with written slogans on them, including “Guns don’t kill people, I do,” and “Prayer is a good way to meet the lord, but trespassing is faster.”

Powell is the mother of eight children. According to the article:

FBI Agent Carlos Fontanez described numerous videos and images showing Ms. Powell’s actions at the Capitol. He also said that he received information from Richard Powell, Ms. Powell’s ex-husband, that on Jan. 30 she had dropped off the children with him and left without saying where she was going, saying she had to “take care of some things.” Mr. Powell also said she had left the children home alone when she went to Washington for the Jan. 6 riot.
