New Curriculum Available on “Lincoln and the Jews”

The Shapell Foundation was the force behind a Civil War Sesquicentennial exhibition at the New York Historical Society on Lincoln’s interactions with the emerging Jewish community in the United States. The Foundation has now released a curriculum for teachers called “Lincoln and the Jews.” You can access the curriculum here. An explanation of the project is available on their blog.

The curriculum is aimed at high school history students and uses a number of documents to investigate Lincoln’s relationships with Jewish Americans.
