Nikki Haley continued her effort to keep interest in the Civil War by taking the side of the Confederates again today. She told a radio talk show host that Texas has the right to leave the United States. Haley said that “if Texas decides they want to do that, they can do that.” In 1861 eleven states tried to do that, an effort that was opposed by a newly-elected Republican president named Lincoln. A civil war broke out that took the lives of 700,000 people. However, Haley said today “If that whole state says, ‘We don’t want to be part of America anymore,’ I mean, that’s their decision to make.”
Apparently Abraham Lincoln was wrong to try to keep the Southern slave-holding states in the Union.

If it were not for the fact I live there, I wish it would…. am an exile from a non-Red State for financial reasons only…. KS. was bad enough as another Red State. One could live but were treated as if you are not “American” (if from another state)..Any way, who would miss TX?
