Ten Years Ago Movie “Lincoln” Showed the Gettysburg Address

November 19 is Dedication Day in Gettysburg, the anniversary of the the day in 1863 when Abraham Lincoln came to Gettysburg to deliver his famous Gettysburg Address. This year is the Tenth Anniversary of the release of the Academy Award-winning film Lincoln directed by Stephen Spielberg and starring Daniel Day Lewis. The film contains the most viewed delivery of the Gettysburg Address, although the speech in the movie is not delivered by Lincoln, but by soldiers meeting him in the night.
