The Sergeant-at-Arms Called Out Three Times for Andrew Johnson-The Impeachment Trial Begins

On March 13, 1868 the trial of Andrew Johnson formally opened in the Senate. The Sergeant at Arms called out the name of the accused three times to call for him to appear. A very interesting and symbolic scene.
