The Library of Virginia has an interesting online exhibit on Reconstruction in Virginia. You can check it out here.
The online exhibit includes documents and illustrations from the end of slavery to the violent attack on Reconstruction. USCT, the Freedmen’s Bureau, and the KKK all receive their due. Narratives from the WPA interviews are included, as well.
